GOODLAND ENERGY CENTER INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Goodland Energy Center , owned and operated by Goodland Energy Center , LLC, is a one-hundred acre industrial complex located in Goodland , Kansas , one and one-half miles north of Interstate 70 at exit 12. At the present time three industrial clients have committed to locating in this complex. The complex will have its own water treatment and distribution system and wastewater treatment system on-site. Administrative offices are located at 1206 Main Street , Goodland , Kansas .

 

Goodland Energy Resources (GER) Cogeneration Power Plant, a coal and bi-mass fueled electric generation facility capable of generating 22 megawatts of electricity and 200,000 pounds of steam with expansion abilities to 28 megawatts of electricity and 250,000 pounds of steam. GER will be a wholesaler of electric power and will employ 21 full-time employees with an annual payroll of approximately eight hundred thousand dollars. Cost of materials, equipment and construction of this facility is estimated to be sixteen million dollars. The construction of this facility is scheduled to begin in March 2006.

 

E Caruso Ethanol Production Plant is an ethanol production plant with a 20 million gallon per year ethanol production capacity and room to expand to 30 million gallons per year. This facility will employ thirty full-time employees with an estimated payroll of one and one-half million dollars per year. An investment of seventeen million dollars is going into the construction of this facility. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2006.

 

Kanza Energy Bio-Diesel Production Plant, a 12 million gallon a year bio-diesel production facility. Kanza Energy will employ 10 full-time employees with an annual payroll estimated to be at six hundred thousand dollars. Ten million dollars has been earmarked for the construction of this plant. Construction should begin in the spring of 2006.

 

All three facilities will employ state-of-the-art environmental controls and utilize full scale recycling of production materials and waste products.
